The Court of the Lord Lyon The Court of the Lord Lyon is the heraldic authority for Scotland and deals with all matters relating to Scottish Heraldry and Coats of Arms. The Court is responsible for maintaining the Scottish Public Registers of All Arms and Bearing in Scotland and Genealogies.
The College of Arms As well as being responsible for the granting of new coats of arms, the College maintains registers of arms, pedigrees, genealogies, Royal Licences, changes of name, and flags. The Heraldry Society of Scotland The Society was founded in 1977 with the objective of promoting the study of heraldry and encouraging its correct use in Scotland and overseas. The Heraldry Society The Society exists to increase and extend interest in and knowledge of heraldry, armoury, chivalry, genealogy and allied subjects.
The Armorial Register - International Register of Arms (formerly Burke’s Peerage & Gentry International Register of Arms)
The Register includes the rationale and history behind the use and design of featured coats of arms along with the family biographies of the bearers.
The International Heraldry Society The Society encourages people to join whether they have their own arms, intend to gain or assume arms, or have a general interest in Heraldry. The membership of the society is made up of people from around the globe keeping in contact through their forum, facebook group and periodic newsletters.
